Poems for Starleaf from Jon Dorbolo:

Lost and Found For Karen

In silence the hearing;

in darkness the vision;

negation tracing the outline of being;

after the fall, a hold to climb;

from moment to minute to end of time;

unknowing beckons the brave;

meaning rises beyond the grave;

where meaning wanes there is yet this;

to find oneself among the abyss.

– Jon Dorbolo

Lost and Found

From chaos, order.

In silence, hearing.

In darkness a vision.

After the fall, a hold to climb.

Negation traces the outline of being.

Unknowns beckon the brave.

Meaning rising from the grave.

When meaning wanes, there is yet this.

To find oneself in the abyss.

Jon Louis Dorbolo

Starleaf humorously said that she would show Ron and Monica signs that her spirit was around them from time to time, most notably when they were scattering the ashes from her cremation – watch out for bird poop, she warned!  That provided the basis for these birthday lines from Ron, since he was sure he wasn’t going to need much to remember her by:

Signs

A cloud in the sky:

Starleaf.

A scampering squirrel:

 Starleaf.

A bird takes flight:

Starleaf.

A flower in a store:

Starleaf.

Art on a wall:

Starleaf.

Joys on my path:

Starleaf.
